About

The continuous increase of the workload in the emergency departments has raised multiple problems for the radiologists in term of logistics, protocols, radioprotection, training of the residents on call residents, etc…

Due to this situation, many colleagues have expressed the wish to discuss these concerns in a structured manner, on a nationwide scale.

Thus, representatives of most hospitals in Switzerland met in Fribourg on August 2012, to set up a Swiss group of Emergency Radiology, a forum for scientific, training and organizational exchange about emergency radiology. In May 30 2013, the group became the Swiss Society of Emergency Radiology (SSER), affiliated to the SGR-SSR.

The SSER is a society opened to every member of the SGR-SSR involved in emergency radiology or interested by this topic.

Since 2015, the SSER organizes a half-day symposium in November, which addresses the recent advances in Emergency Radiology. This symposium constitutes a good opportunity to meet colleagues from every part of Switzerland, and exchange with them about emergency radiology.

We strongly encourage every member of the SGR-SSR to support our society by adhering to the SSER.
